I'm terrible with computers so I don't know how to create a link to my resume so I just posted it here. Any comments and suggestions are welcome. I hope to enhance this throughout the rest of the semsester.

Hows it going Gina this is Chris Bandusky. I couldnt agree with you more that by working in a restaurant has prepared you for your future goals. I used to work in a restaurant myself for approx. 3 years and you deal with all sorts of issues. In learning how to cope with other peoples problems and finding a solution to resolve an issue is a strong tool to have. Im sure you will be dealing with issues like this all the time with younger children, it is not an easy task in resolving an argument and making everyone happy sometimes. I have a feeling after reading your resume though that you will do just fine in your career that awaits you, I wish you the best of luck! - Chris
ReplyDeleteHi Gina,
ReplyDeleteI think that you have some good work experience and that for the most part you have a solid resume, however I have some suggestions for you. You might want to move your education up to the top of the resume and list after your objective and summary. You need to take HS off your resume! List out the BIS degree Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in (list concentration areas). Put your graduation date. Also take off references available as its understood.
Gina-
ReplyDeleteI have also worked in the serving industry for a long time and agree with Chris, it does help a lot in other parts of my life. I have meet so many interesting people and actually found out about the BIS program through a serving job. I think your resume looks great. The only thing is that you dont really have that much related work experience. Maybe you could add your current intership to this resume??

Hello, I really liked what you said in the professional objective. I'm sure speaking Spanish will help you to have more of an advantage compared to people who only speak English. Most of the time it's difficult to deal with upset customers so it's great that you can calm them down and even get them to come back. The only thing maybe you could add to your resume is writing out what POS stands for. Overall your resume looks really good.
